GFA Schools Programme

Running alongside the City of Glasgow Cup Final we will once again be delivering our annual Schools Programme and Festival. Community Coaches from each of the five Glasgow FA member clubs spend eight weeks coaching pupils from 25 schools in and around the City in the run up to the Cup Final. The final session taking place at Toryglen, where the schools come together for a day of coaching and games. Each of the Glasgow FA clubs then choose one school to represent them at the Final by playing on the park at half-time.

Under-11s Festival

Toryglen is also the venue for our Under-11s Football Festival. Now in it’s 6th year, it has become a fixed event in our calendar with a good mix of teams participating, often including both Scottish and English Premiership teams, as well as local Boys Clubs and the Glasgow FA member clubs. Further details of the next Festival will follow nearer the time.

GFA Futsal

Another Glasgow FA initiative is our U11 & U12 indoor Futsal programme. Started as a one-off event three seasons ago, and run specifically for the benefit of the Glasgow FA member clubs, it has since then grown into a 12-week programme, taking place between September and April each year, using local indoor facilities.

Our 2019-20 website

In addition to promoting the activities of the Glasgow Football Association, our 2019-20 website continues tp offer a little of the flavour of the City of Glasgow through some photgraphe of the city.  These images have all been supplied courtesy of the SNS Group, and are also displayed on our Backgrounds page.
